PROGRAMME 4 – CLUB SESSIONS
We will show you how to engage with those pupils/students who wish to continue developing their skill levels on a regular basis and work towards some formal recognition.
If after one of our workshop sessions or fun days, you have a number of pupils who wish to come together on a regular basis and form a ‘club’, then we can help you establish one. We can give you appropriate ‘lesson plans’ and weekly routines to follow, together with guidelines for creating ‘achievement awards’ to help you create sustainable membership.
LUNCHTIME CLUBS
Accepting the busy playground environment … there needs to be a separate area or ‘skipping zone’ created, and an element of supervision for both safety and enjoyment purposes.
AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS
The size of the School Hall will determine the number of children that can be accommodated, but around 25 to 30 is a comfortable maximum. With club sessions there needs to be an emphasis on fun as well as skill development, and some of those more capable individuals will be encouraged to become responsible for helping others. This will create the stimulation for continuity of skipping activities in the weeks following, and achieve appropriate sustainability.
SKILL DEVELOPMENT PACK
We will leave behind sufficient information for the introduction of a Skipping Activity Programme and Awards Scheme. This will help you to support the skill development of your pupils/students, and encourage their natural enthusiasm and willingness to succeed.
THE CHARGES FOR ALL THE ABOVE PROGRAMMES ARE BASED UPON THE SIZE OF SCHOOL, PUPIL HEADCOUNT FIGURES AND THE NATURE OF WORK COMMISSIONED.
